David & Stephanie

This was a beautiful wedding that I was lucky enough to attend as well as design the stationery for. A South African gent and a Kentish rose, a match made in heaven.

The brief for this suite was to combine a sense of these two lovely people who are from very different places! Stephanie wanted to have proteas in her bouquet as it is the national flower of South Africa where her groom is from and this gave me the idea of using a floral theme incorporating flowers from where each of the couple were from. So I set to work drawing lots of proteas and then intertwining these with some beautiful Kentish hops as the bride is from, you guessed it - Kent! The garden of England and famous for its hops. They worked together beautifully and we were able to carry through the floral design to the whole suite of invitations, information sheet, menu, table numbers, address labels and the order of service.

Here's what they thought:
"Debbie was an absolute star for our wedding. We asked her for something that mixed 'South African and English' together. The motif she came up with of the English hop entwined with the South African Protea flower was perfect. She hand drew it and it was beautiful...we used it on pretty much everything. She totally captured the feel of our day with the choice of fonts she used as well. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done quickly and to a beautiful standard. She kept us in the loop on costs all the way through and often had suggestions for different ways of printing things at different price points, which was really helpful. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful our stationery was and I can't thank her enough."
